Stop At: Barron Gorge National Park, Wrights Lookout Rd, Queensland Australia
First up is a Barron Gorge lookout that looks over a set of tumbling falls bursting from the rainforest. Spend some time ooh-ing and ah-ing at the lookout, then continue to the town of Kuranda. I just loved this Intrepid tour. Max my guide was super helpful and ever smiling, knew exactly where to get the best dining experience for every meal, and was a wealth of knowledge and information. The tour through the Daintree rainforest was the highlight of my tour although I enjoyed every single moment and ativity. I was there in December at the height of summer, remember if you are travelling to North Queensland at this time it will without doubt be extremely hot with very high humidity, - make sure you drink plenty of water! Other absolute highlights were the afternoon spent with the Kulu Yalanji people particularly Link and Binna - and the trip to Cape Tribulation, such a beautiful area. Intrepid run excellent tours, I would not hesitate to travel again with them.
